What is Peppol?
OWS operates as a Peppol service provider, also known as an Access Point. In short, the Peppol network requires messages to follow a specific format. Based on the data from the system, OWS converts the information into the required format and sends it to the Peppol network. Incoming Peppol-formatted messages are then converted by OWS into the format required by your system.
The Peppol network is a European network for transmitting electronic documents such as invoices, orders, and order confirmations. In the Peppol network, the Peppol BIS format used for invoice messages is equivalent to the Finnish Finvoice, but the Peppol network can also transmit other types of data besides invoices. The goal of the Peppol network is to simplify practices through a uniform standard, enabling efficient operations for buyers and sellers, such as within the EU.

Step-by-step Peppol implementation with OWS
The implementation project involves not only the customer and OWS but also the system provider, the customer's trading partner, and the trading partner’s operator.
Step 1
The customer notifies OWS about the project initiation, and a designated project manager takes responsibility for the project.
Step 2
If needed, we hold a kickoff meeting. OWS coordinates it, involving the customer and, if necessary, the system provider.
Step 3
OWS is responsible for establishing the necessary connections to the Peppol network.
Step 4
Testing of different message types and cases in the test system. OWS takes the lead, with all parties involved, including the system provider if necessary.

Transitioning to production. OWS leads, with all parties involved, including the system provider if necessary.
